In a magical realm known as Nahafey, the practice of magic revolves around rituals. You play as a young lady named Fayn, who aspires to specialize in the healing arts. However, not all beings in this world use their powers for good; some are driven by malevolence. 

During one of your magical lessons, you were assigned the task of successfully healing a sick mouse through a ritual. Unfortunately, a minor mistake led the entire ritual to unfold differently than expected. As a consequence, you find yourself standing in the ritual grounds of a deep, dark forest. This forest is safeguarded by guardian spirits, whose duty is to protect it from evil. Regrettably, they lost a battle to the evil spirits, and a curse was laid upon the forest, causing it to wither away slowly. Now, the forest has become enshrouded in darkness, with evil lurking in its shadows. 

The guardian spirits implore you for help to break the curse that has befallen the forest. No one has dared to set foot in the forest for a very long time, and none possess the necessary power to heal it. Although you have some knowledge of healing basics, you are still a learner and have never experimented with curses before. Consequently, the task seems beyond your capabilities. However, the guardian spirits believe in your potential to make a difference.
